- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or extensive skills and experience in the provision of Community, Youth, Child and Family Services.
- Case Management skills and experience are essential.
- Event Management skills and experience are essential.
- Knowledge of Department of Communities and Justice, Program Level Agreements.
- Knowledge of, or willing to learn DEX data collection process.
- Ability to facilitate school-based and early childhood programs.
- Experience in working with a Community Management Committee and with a dynamic multi disciplined non-profit organisation.
- Mandatory Covid Double Vaccination Certificate or Medical Exemption Certificate
- Driving licence and comprehensive insured vehicle

Traineeship
Cert 111 in Childcare
A New Entrant Traineeship is available to any student who has begun or will begin their traineeship within 3 months of beginning full time employment or 12 months of part-time employment with their service or within 3 months of completing a pre-requisite qualification. Like any traineeship, you’ll gain on the job experience whilst completing a qualification and will receive support and feedback from both your employer and trainer throughout the duration of your studies.
New Entrant Traineeships are available as long as the student is eligible for this kind of study.
To be eligible for a New Entrant Traineeship a student must:
- Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Have worked for less then 3 months full time or 12 months part time with their current employer or have completed the pre-requisite qualification less then 3 months prior.
This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.
Occupational titles may include:
• Early childhood educator • * Outside school hours care assistant
• Playgroup supervisor • * Recreation assistant
• Family day care worker • Nanny
• Childhood Educator • Mobile assistant
• Childhood educator assistant
* Some jurisdictions may require CHC40113 Certificate IV in School Age Education & Care for these work roles
